I just want Static Prevails at this point. I can't see them doing a whole SP tour, like I can with BA or CTL, so it would make sense to do a cool special thing like that for that album. If they were to do 3 in a row again though, I could see BA and/or CTL being in the lineup.
Same. New record, Bleed American and CTL would but be my suggestion. That said, they could easily switch one of those out for any record (and save one of those two) because the hardcore fans who supported it would probably be happy with any of the other records too. I guess that the beauty of having so many great albums and playing so well live. It may take years but I could see 3 different rounds of Phoenix sessions easily if they wanted to/remained profitable.
So glad they put the video recordings up; something about being able to watch them play makes live music more human/enjoyable to me. Also, I'm sorry to subject y'all to rankings again, but I missed them and I'm sad about it Futures Clarity Chase This Light Integrity Blues Surviving Bleed American Invented Static Prevails Damage The section in italics are interchangable to me tbh. Really depends on the day. Pretty much everything from this band has had an incredible impact on me; even Surviving, which is at the middle of the list, was my most played album of its release year and helped me tremendously in a gloomy chapter of my life.
TIL both The Middle and Sweetness have never been certified gold or platinum as singles. How the fuck is that even possible?!
It was a couple months old, but he did talk about how they got signed. He takes about some feet they use for lives shows, and how he’s into ease and simplicity. He also said not every song JEW does should make JEW fans happy (as in they experiment and bit and it’s ok not to hold every song in the same high regard as others). The episode predates the Phoenix Sessions based on the conversation. There are no big relegations, but hearing how they got signed and their early journey is cool
I’m straight up HONGRY for a new Jimmy Eat World record, you know what I’m saying? I need nourishment over here.
I'm not sure what there is to not understand? I'm gonna preorder their eventual new album and after it shows up at my door, I'm gonna eat it with my mouth.
not publicly. i think maybe some stuff was in the works and got put aside when the opportunity to play out live presented itself.
Per Jimmy facebook group: Ticketmaster leaked a date of a tour w/ Dashboard called "Surviving the Truth Tour"
