Me too, lol. I am new to the forums but I assume it's mostly older absolute-punk refugees and I figured Bleed American is like...a must-listen for everyone who likes the genre, lol
'59 Sound and American Slang. Sink or Swim and Handwritten are really good too, but I wouldn't start there. Their last album wasn't bad per se, but it's def got some not as good moments and i think they would agree it could have used a little more time in the oven.
Yup, Futures is still a perfect album with perfect production and is still a top 5 album of all time for me.
I'm a little late to the celebration but I'm so happy to be celebrating 20 years of Bleed American. What a fantastic record from a fantastic band. I've only been listening to them for 10 years, when Damage came out, but the impact of their discography is unparalleled to me and they've cemented themselves as my favorite band. I don't know what I'm going to do 3 years from now when we're celebrating Futures, my favorite record
Could’ve sworn Surviving came out in 2020 and not 2019. Can’t believe it’s almost two years old already. The year + of Covid is really messing with me.
Static Prevails to Futures is as perfect as it gets. Everything after is good but not quite on the same tier as those earlier ones.
Chase This Light is when I fell off the bandwagon a little bit. I never got into that one, no matter how much I listened to it. It’s got a few songs I like, nothing quite hit me as much as Futures did.
listening to bleed american on the subway rn having an existential moment. all the time between when I got this album and right now...damn
CTL is my favorite album from them easy, but yeah...their run from Clarity to now is nothing short of amazing. I can see Paramore perhaps rivaling it in the future, but 8 albums that are all god-tier is ridiculous.
