That show's setlist is insane. I was in Kentucky that weekend so couldn't make it. Still mad about it tbh.

I’m a huge One Tree Hill fan. JEW made an appearance in season 2 in promotion of Futures. Some of the cast have a newly successful podcast and they mentioned JEW being in the show and how nice the guys were.

    It warmed my heart.

I haven't! I was deciding between the two because bend is such a nice city imo but Spokane is closer to me

You guys ever just listen to "Dizzy" and think about how it's the most perfect song ever?

I had the same thought about For Me This Is Heaven today.

But I mean absolutely also to Dizzy.

    We don’t deserve them.

Purchased the Bleed American vinyl from their store. I’ve been having a difficult time finding that lately.

The demo versions the band leaked on Napster was great way to get new fans and a great way to take advantage of the situation. I heard A few songs before but those demos got me hooked on the band and have been ever since.

reminds me of being a third grader and trading a copy of hybrid theory for a copy of bleed American with my friend since I had heard the middle and loved it. my favorite song has changed so much throughout the years but a praise chorus, your house, and cautioners are probably my top, but authority song, sweetness, bleed american, get it faster, and more have all been my favorite at one point or another. the album reminds me of so many times of my life throughout middle school and high school and even through college and just the last few years of my life, it’s always been a record along with every other Jimmy record that I listen to constantly for comfort, it’s always in rotation and like their whole discog is been there for me throughout my hardest times and my best times. In terms of all their albums, I rank bleed American at about 4th (chase this light, futures, and integrity blues being above it) but they are the single most important band I listen to so every album holds a special place in my heart, regardless of ranking. this is the album that started my relationship with this band though and for that I couldn’t be more thankful, there’s not another band whose impact compares to what JEW have done for me

I loved tracking down the demos for their albums up to Chase This Light. Not sure if they've been surfacing for the records since Invented.

A Praise Chorus and My Sundown are contenders but Hear You Me is the song from Bleed American that still has the biggest impact 20 years on. Every time I’ve seen them play it live I’ve had to wipe away tears by the end of it. The song is still an absolute emotional gut punch no matter how many times you hear it.

This album is one that I always rank near the middle of their discography (I would put Clarity, Futures, and Chase This Light above it, maybe Integrity Blues also) but every time I throw it on I’m reminded of how incredible it is. And The Middle is one of the only heavily overplayed songs that I’ve never gotten sick of, just because of how undeniably infectious it is.

Gimme light, gimme love, gimme fire

Bleed American is amazing but SOMEHOW consistently middle-tier for fans of the band. It checks out for me but it’s the ultimate changing of the tides into a pop sound.
