I’ve seen them I think three times and it’s only gotten progressively worse each time. First time was back in 2002 when TAYF first came out and it was messy but still awesome.

However, this last time was weird: the bass was way too loud/fuzzy, Adam was all over the place and didn’t even both to sing the full lyrics half the time, and it felt underwhelming all around. It was well worth it to miss their set and beat the traffic,

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

Saw TBS in 2016 and 2017. 16 was Taste of Chaos so that was fine. I was just way towards the back. 17 was with ETID and I walked out before the halfway point. They sounded so bad both times. But like it’s been said they’ve never been known for being the tightest live act

I feel like they’ve gotten worse live ever since John and Shaun rejoined to be honest. Just an observation but it’s my personal experience from the 3 different eras I saw them at.

  7. well yeaaaah that's because every ex-member they've had are better than john and shaun haha

I actually agree with your point on John...I've said on this site before that sometimes it seems John is just going through the motions, and seems a bit bored, or just resorts to screaming in the background.

I still enjoy seeing them live, but their live shows are nothing compared to the 2003-2007 era with Fred and Rubano.

Despite that, they still manage to have a ton of energy though and the fans still go ape shit at the shows which often times drowns out Adam's scratchy vocals. I could see them being disappointing if they are an opener or at a festival where they aren't the main draw and you're just a casual fan (or not a fan at all), but every time I've seen them, they've been the headliner and the fan energy is typically off the charts.

The important thing is that Jimmy Eat World is so good it doesn't really matter

Ugh. They finally come to Spokane and they gotta split headlining duties with TBS.

  13. Yeah I’ve never had any issue with TBS live. But compared to JEW, they’re probably gonna be bad.

Hahaha it'd be very special for a select few people! I don't have that album, but would much rather hear the Surviving tracks they've not toured yet

I've seen them like 6 times and I don't think I've ever heard them play a Static Prevails song. Even saw them as early as 2001 and (double checked the setlist) and they didn't even play a SP song.
