23 and Dizzy are effectively tied for me. Probably my second and third favorite closers ever, by anyone. Then it's:

I've always viewed Dizzy as a companion piece, or a sequel, to 23.

Both are perfect.

 

"Congratulations" is awesome, incidentally a killer running song as well.

 

Band can write closers. Thrice and Yellowcard also jump to mind too. It’s definitely a skill and a really important piece of the record.

 

"The End Is Beautiful" and "Through" are fantastic.

 

"It Matters" and "Integrity Blues" and "You With Me" would all need to be on my JEW CD-80.

 

Here's a fun one that was shared to the Jimmy Eat World Fans FB page. An internet scammer posed at the band and tried to get a fan to pay $300 to join a private fan club. They chose the wrong right fan.

We interviewed Leiah for the pod because this was so wild. I downloaded all the screenshots she took and PS'd out the email and Venmo info this scammer used. The episode with the interview comes out next Friday but I wanted to share her wild story here:
