Yeah, it happened.. my wife started ugly crying during this performance and then we just held each other and cried on the couch
Incredible. I lost count how many times I got goosebumps watching that. The production was top notch. Like holy hell. That could’ve been a live tv performance on MTV or something. Wild. -After like 18 years the title track continues to be my favorite from the album. It’s the song that got be coming back to the band back in the day and really opened up the door to them. -Zach is always so poised and precise. I love watching him play. -The harmonies in this performance were amazeballs. Everyone sounded great. They were just so great.
good time as any to say that tom's singing voice has always reminded me of j. robbins from jawbox/burning airlines, and never moreso than during "blister" on this livestream. love to hear it
After seeing how quality these performances are I’ll only be content after seeing future streams of BA, CTS, Invented, Damage, IB, and a EP/hits set. Come on, JEW. Give the fans what they want.
I can’t even imagine how amazing that’d be and how fast everyone would be like “wait... why do we always leave this album off of our rankings, and when we do, why is it always at the bottom?!”
would love this, especially because Jim can apparently still scream like a man half his age judging by "My Enemy" (not to imply Jim Adkins ages like us mortals, that man is on some Dorian Gray shit)
Are these performances ever going to be made available to purchase again? Gutted I missed Clarity in particular - One of my all timers
There are lots of good songs on there, but it’s Jimmy, so of course. But then it’s like “what about....(insert song here)?”. We are spoiled.
Kinda just went 'oh, so I'm reading another of his articles on this band in spite of myself' but as much as I think this guy sucks, any list with 23 at the top is something I can get on board with. It's up there for me.
Haha I debated even posting it after the discourse in here last week, but I do think it's a pretty good list and the justifications for each song's placement are well-written. I was happy to see so much of Integrity Blues represented on it!
That only one of their closing tracks makes the cut is ridiculous, if I had to pick another it'd probably be that as it's more accessible than GSH.
“Mixtape” is on there too, but yeah, I’d have a lot more closers in my top 30, and “My Sundown” would probably be too 10-15. IMO, that song is Adkins’ biggest lyrical triumph.
Oh no wonder I missed it, he does this thing here and there where he writes about two songs in the same paragraph, lol.
