I kept looking at the door and thinking “that doesn’t look like the door from Invented”. Then it hit me.
On the Washed Up Emo Radio podcast, Jim said they rehearsed for 3 months for the Phoenix Sessions and I thought to be a little suspicious for only 3 albums. 2 of which they've previously toured and played in full and one being the latest they wrote.
If they end up performing all albums front to back....They gotta release some sort of video/vinyl Phoenix Sessions boxset, right?
I’ve become accustomed to these every other Friday let’s hope they roll out these new ones soon! Bopping CTL with my morning coffee right now and it’s efficiently getting me hyped.
There used to be a Youtube channel that had tons full emo and punk shows from Illinois in the late 90s, and one of them was Jimmy Eat World pre-Clarity at the university in my hometown. I was just trying to find it now only to discover that the Youtube channel was terminated. That really sucks - there was so much local scene history there.
Just listened to Futures for the first time in years, and damn, Nothing Wrong is a jam. Kind of a bummer they buried it at the end of the album.
is it 30 minutes before? i don't wanna miss that. unless they just do a bunch of fan testimonials again. haha.
