I'll take my favorite Green Day albums pretty handily over my favorite Weezer or Foo Fighters albums. I might also take the worst Green Day over the worst Weezer, though it's quite a pissing match between Dos and Raditude. Foo Fighters have a higher floor. JEW, ignoring the self-titled, is easily the most consistent, IMO. I was speaking more to the fact that Green Day had two massive, culturally dominant peaks spread a decade apart, which is a rarity for any band.
tate if you start another kurfuffle in this thread we're ranking blinks albums in every thread on this site daily until the pandemics over
I'd rather listen to Raditude than the worst Green Day album. At least Raditude is interestingly bad (and also has two really great songs on it).
the most important weezer/jimmy eat world connection is that the first time I saw both was at my local county fair about a year apart from each other
i would place dookie in the same tier as pinkerton/blue/clarity/futures but its probably the bottom of that bunch. american idiot is probably the top of the next tier the trilogy of albums and the newest one are baddddd. worse than black album bad. unlistenable bad.
i actually just finished it in my run through. which two are great for you? i think i have three or four
I'll join in on this shitshow - Jimmy Eat World > Foo Fighters > Weezer >>> Green Day And I say that even though Green Day were a formative band for me and one of my favorites throughout middle school and high school.
I'd put American Idiot in the top tier for sure. Probably my second favorite album from any of these bands, after Futures.
I like American Idiot but I'd throw any Jimmy album on before I would throw that album on. And yes that includes the self-titled.
