They've both been posting content from their studio in Tempe lately on their respective Instagrams and a couple months ago Jim said in an interview with a radio station that he was getting back into writing mode! edit: also this! maybe they're demoing! who knows!
Why would you be mad if you get new music sooner? I think the circumstances of 2020 have altered a lot of norms. I would consider new music a positive if they feel confident and release something in under 3 years.
2000 Screens full band set. Great quality audio https://www.facebook.com/jimmyeatworld/videos/600123603975250/ Set list: Big Casino Bleed American Work
Came here to say how good this was. Great song choices too. Excited for them to headline the festival properly next year.
I just can't get enough of Call to Love. I missed it when it was released and didn't discover it until last week. Amazing cover.
Listened to Surviving this morning. By far their easiest to listen and most fluid album, imo. I haven’t listened to it in awhile, but it holds up very well. It still reminds me of Bleed American for some reason.
Integrity Blues still goes down well, can confirm. Opening with You With Me and Sure and Certain and then closing out with the title track and Pol Roger is an incredible flex.
SAME! I try not to talk about it too much because it seems like kind of an unpopular opinion around here, but I am really really really waiting on those Surviving b-sides.
They have a history of having such fantastic bsides. It’ll only add more depth to the Surviving album era, so I hope at some point soon they release them (since they seem to be working on something new).
I know I am biased, because "Open Bar Reception" is one of my, if not my absolute, favorite JEW song. But there are SO MANY others too: Shame, Sparkle, When I Want, Anais, Step One, My Enemy.....
Can't think of another band I listen to that more badly needs an official b-sides & rarities collection. Throw in couple new b-sides and make lots of money guys. Please.
Open Bar Reception is a favourite Jimmy song of mine to. Just a cool story perspective from this band. Kinda of puts you there.
I would back this. Less Than Jake have been great about releasing b-sides collections, they're overdue for one now too...
