Every time I see the Jimmy thread bump up I get super excited until I come and see no new music or even an announcement.

 

Vision.... is the new single title I believe

 

It also could be the new album title.

 

Quite possibly ‍♂️ They just need to hurry up on a new single ‍♂️

 

Is there any realistic chance they just do a surprise album drop on some day in October with no single or anything released ahead of time...??? (Not counting the version of "Love Never" already out.)

 

Absolutely not the kind of band to do a surprise drop, but that would be nice

 

I still think we’ll get an October release though. I think back to After Laughter by Paramore and it was only a 4-5 week gap between the lead single coming out and the album being released. So it’s not unheard of to have such a quick album rollout.

The casting call for the music video said for the subject line of emails to be "Vision music video"

 

Vision would be a cool album title for them, but only if it's a spiritual successor to Clarity

Jimmy Eat World - Internally, I rationalize sound, sight, and

 

is this the first album cycle that no one knows anything about ahead of time?

 

As far as I can remember. Most of the album cycles we've heard Jim preview a couple of songs at acoustic shows over a year prior. That or leaked demos, track listings etc.

My memory is really failing me now.

Some albums we had leaks of demos before the album came out, like Chase This Light. Or iTunes previews way in advance of release (Invented). The IB track listing leaked a little while ahead of time. By now we would usually have singles, song previews, track listings etc.

At least we have Love Never and a clip of Criminal Energy live. And we know the album is more straight-up rock than their previous few.

No, that's been confirmed. Love Never is though. Also confirmed.

 

Love Never is officially gone from Spotify!

 

My hope is that they removed the old version because the album version will be reworked a bit.
