You Me at Six are pretty decent actually. They're generic mid-2000s emo pop for a later generation, but they're pretty decent at it. Jimmy are an old band that only really had one or two big songs, so I'm not too salty about it. You Me at Six are bigger in the UK than they are in the US, and the reverse is true for Jimmy. You can find plenty of people in the UK who don't know The Middle (at least that was my experience growing up, being the only person at school who knew them for a few years), but the same probably isn't true in the US.
A friend of mine just announced that she’s opening for Courtney Marie Andrews next week. Thought I recognised the name and, yes, she’s the girl featured a lot on Invented. So cool! Will definitely try to go.
If things keep trending the way they have been, there's no way they have time to release an EPs worth of singles before the album releases, like they did with Integrity Blues, which I'm happy about. The more I'm sheltered from this album before release, the better.
Woke up this morning and it finally felt like fall outside. I'm thinking tomorrow would be a great day to release a single.
I've listened to so much of these folks lately, I am really hoping for a new single soon. Damage made me a fan but I wasn't super into them when IB dropped, but I'm going into this new cycle as a huge fan and I can't wait!!! Also an unpopular opinion abt these guys I have is that Futures is lower on my discography ranking but it's starting to climb. I wish I heard this album when I was younger
At this point I wonder if they're just gona drop the album out of nowhere in October. I can't keep getting my hopes up every week. I'm starting to feel like we just wont get a single at all.
I really thought today would be the day. Oh well, I spun Invented this morning and it's still a near perfect album.
its my Jimmy eat world darkness on the edge of town. Thought it was meh to okay when it came out...just keeps getting better with age. Love it now. Absolutely love it.
