Whose lives, safety, or careers does that tweet put in jeopardy? And in what way is it an “accusation”? Saying that somebody sucks isn’t an accusation IMO.
Brother Beck told me my comment is well stated and Matt said he feels different about it in his option. I said, ok, because he’s allowed to have a different opinion. I didn’t ignore him, argue with him, or insult him. I fail to see the drama.
“Stop trying to expose a predatory creep and stick to the music” is certainly quite the position to stake out here
No one has staked out that position to my knowledge. I actually said I don’t like twitter because I wish Zach would have posted a statement with details/information instead of being vague and being restricted by 40 characters. I feel twitter is great for news and facts, not opinion pieces (historically) in my opinion. So as a fan of JEW for 20 years, and having no concern over 3EB, I’d rather see him take a stand or bring awareness in a different platform. We can’t all go around calling people’s creeps. I’d rather see someone say this person is a creep because of.....and maybe that would serve as a better warning or bring about change if that what’s required. I hope I am allowed to have my opinion too, which is really about twitter and how people use it. And yes, I would like a Jimmy Eat World Record announcement as well. I think many of us have been waiting three years for this and in a world where there can be so much bad news, sometimes hearing some good news serves as a refreshing break.
Counterpoint: people that have seen people being creepy can call them creepy on their personal twitter.
On a lighter note, I saw this at my job last night and got a good chuckle in light of Zach’s similar tweet about that guy
Lmao what's the deal? Is it hard to wear a laminate? Does it bruise their ego when someone doesnt recognize them and asks for identification?? Also oop thought that pic of AJ was Charlie day with sunglasses for a sec. But also how is someone supposed to recognize u if they can't see ur eyes in the reference pic??
His wife was in my wife’s cousin’s wedding party and he had his sunglasses on, even as the festivities moved indoors for the reception.
Honestly it's actually pretty standard for headliners not to wear laminates on bigger tours. The photo system is widely used. Pretty sure it's mainly just so the band can go wandering, into the crowd, etc without having to keep track of where they put it. Plus it eliminates the issue of them not being allowed backstage at their own show if they forget it
The AJ photo is my favorite. That’s probably straight from the tour and not made by the venues they play at, but you know there was some email chain or discussion in regards to what photos to use. The pettiest of things, lol. Perhaps a photo of AJ without sunglasses doesn’t exist?
