They've been on a 3-year album cycle since Bleed American (2001) then Futures (2004) Chase This Light (2007) Invented (2010) Damage (2013) Integrity Blues (2016).

 

I prefer the production on IB, but there are still a ton of great songs on Damage. I go back to it more than BA at this point, tbh.

 

Chase This Light came on shuffle and my morning got off to a damn good start!

 

I know. Guess that’s my weird way of saying right on schedule. I wasn’t clear.

seriously it's an amazing run but damn it leaves you raw

So ready for a new album. I’m kinda hoping for some heavier sounds from them this time.

I can’t believe we’re approaching their 3 year turn around. IB seems fresh to me still

Yeah I think you're right. That's a shame but still, lovely stuff; i like that they put that creative flair into their show.

 

I have a new found appreciation (pun) for Damage. Dunno what it is but this week I've just been listening to it a ton

 

It’s a great album that could’ve used a few different sounding songs for variety. Sections of Damage blur together for me but there are a lot of strong tracks: I Will Steal You Back, Damage, Appreciation, Book of Love, etc

Perhaps Book of Love is the different sounding song

 

Book of Love is top 3 of that album for me

 

"Through" is such a classic sounding JEW song. I love it so much.

 

I remember reading that "My Enemy" got dropped from the tracklist late in the game in favor of "Through" and having a chip on my shoulder for "Through" before even hearing it - but when I finally heard it it is just SO damn good. It really is an amazing song.

 

Wow. I didn't know that happened. Makes me like 'Through' even more. I thought 'My Enemy' was the perfect bonus track though.

It is definitely an amazing song. And it's better than "My Enemy", but I don't know if I've ever heard this take before. I am not sure it's even my favorite on Integrity Blues, an album that is admittedly STACKED .
