My favorite vocal performances from Jim would actually be It Matters (he sounds so CRISP and NIGHTTIME like walking through a nice part of the city), Carry You (his voice elevates an already amazing song into starlight), and Here It Goes (because it makes you wanna JUMP! he's having so much fun we gotta have fun too!)
I’m not sure I’d say it’s my favorite album of theirs but I love how Bleed American sounds like a band firing on all cylinders and it fucking worked
I've always put Get Right in his upper tier vocal performances. His voice brings a lot of "bite" to the song. I also love the more emotive vocal track that comes along in the second and final chorus's of Pol Roger. I've always loved the band's attention to using multiple vocal tracks to elevate melodies. Off the top my head, I feel like the majority of their songs have multiple Jims throughout
I'm in the rare camp who prefers the uptempo version of You Were Good The clangy guitar and drum shuffle really works for me
I think the album version is great. I think the the full band rock version is great. Jimmy Eat World is great.
This is a relatively recent upload of an old show. It’s a very interesting set list. Starts with lots of Clarity, then a lot of B-sides and an early performance I’d Bleed American. I don’t think there is a month, but it appears to be 2001 but before Bleed American was released.
