Some people say that Jimmy Eat World releases "albums" every three years, but I like to think they release 45 minute orgies tri-annually.
Criminally Underrated Track: Night Drives That song was way ahead of its time. Sounds like it could’ve came out yesterday.
Legit cried when they played that in Chicago this past tour. One of my absolutely all-time favs from ANY band.
I was playing Futures in the car with my dad (who tolerates what I listen to, but is by no means a fan) a long time ago and when Polaris came on he goes "Wow, this band is GOOD". I was so proud lol Also, got to see them play it in Stroudsburg right after Integrity Blues came out and I was so happy. From what I recall they don't play it very often.
I pretty much judge all their setlists by whether or not they play Polaris lol. I think they only didn't play it once when I've seen them but I was so upset!!
Saw them for the first time in Cleveland a couple months ago. They played 27 songs and I think I teared up during 3 or 4. Polaris being one of them. But damn. What a catalog, they have.
prime listening times for the album soundscapes: Chase This Light - April, May, June, July Clarity - July/December Bleed American - August into September Damage - September Integrity Blues - October and November Futures - October through December Invented - December, January, February
every night when i get off work i listen to futures on my drive home. i usually get home around "drugs or me" but then i drive around a bit until the rest of the album finishes. its nice.
