Seeing them Sunday in Cleveland! Kinda wish they were playing more Integrity Blues songs, but it’ll still be a blast.
Will be there as well! Working taste of tremont all day before the show, but it will be a nice way to wind down the evening.
Got to see them Wednesday as a casual fan (Bleed American and Futures) and had a great time. Didn't even clock that they played 25 damn songs until I checked the setlist yesterday, though Jim Adkins did say when they started up, "We've got nine albums of stuff to play." And boy they've got one hell of an encore.
I dunno about that. It always gets a ton of praise on here. Personally it’s one of my least fav from them. It’s fine. It just never hit me in the way that all their other stuff has. There’s just something missing for me. But I tend to be in the minority in that.
Too much to ask for some SUPER deep cuts?: When I Want, Be Sensible, Jen, Open Bar Reception, No Sensitivity....
they play no sensitivity now and again. have been playing it on their latest tour. the ither songs you mentioned though? not a chance.
They brought out No Sensitivity quite a bit when touring CTL. Open Bar Reception is maybe my favourite song of theirs and I don't think it's ever been played live sadly :( e: weirdly enough, you'll never guess what they played for their first encore last night
So bummed I couldn't go to the Cleveland show last night. I was in Kentucky for the weekend for a bachelor party and by the time I drove back home Sunday afternoon, I was just dead. Saw the 27 song setlist and had the biggest case of FOMO ever.
I was better off not knowing they have been rotating in Goodbye Sky Harbour at the recent shows :( Don't think I'll ever get to experience that live
i got to experience the longer live version that they did on the Clarity 10 year anniversary tour, and it was amazing. the shorter live version they've done over the years isn't aaaaaaas awesome as that one was, in my opinion. but obviously, it was still great.
Nice write up from AA Dowd on AV Club: https://music.avclub.com/moving-out-from-the-middle-60-minutes-of-eternal-ado-1827436684
That's a pretty decent greatest hits set if you have to leave out their biggest song, but honestly fuck Damage being labelled 'forgettable'. Needs more 'Appreciation', both the song and the thing.
Yeah, the shot at Damage was definitely unnecessary. They also should've included this version of "Goodbye Sky Harbor":
