Actually "Kill" might be my runner up.

How did I not realize how fucking good Let It Happen is until yesterday. I'm so in love with it. I think I've really underrated CTL altogether honestly.

Carry You is super underrated too. Massive song

Yeah, those are my favorites on CTL, along with Dizzy.

CTL is so damn glossy. The only track that still resonates with me is "Here It Goes" because its so different from the rest of their output

Here It Goes didn't stick out to me at first but has become one of my favorites on CTL.

Chase really isn't that much glossier than Futures or Invented. Those are all pretty big "studio" records.

  15. I love how they're all still really distinct though, even if they're definitely all glossy. All their records really have different production vibes, even the three trombino records, it's awesome the way they work with producers

I feel like these guys have become my favorite band a dozen times. I'll go a bit without listening to them and will listen to other similar bands and then I'll listen to CTL or Invented or something and I'll end up on a week long binge of their whole discography and decide every other band sucks in comparison.

I don't have any insightful additions to any conversation. I just thought I'd say that.

Bleed has a gloss to it too, at least on the songs with the huge hooks.

Also this bands b-sides are among the best in rock music. I decided to spend my time at work listening to just the b-sides, god damn theyre impressive. theres like two albums worth of them and theyre all different levels of stellar.

Definitely. I like them live, but I think they are a band that is a lot better on record for how much they use the studio to make their songs larger than life and for how well they work with producers. It's why I'm always excited when they announce that they worked with someone completely new.

I listened to nothing but JEW yesterday and forgot how good "Shame" is. Their b-sides are nearly perfect. All-around quality A+ musical band.

I'm sure this has been done more than once on this thread, but I really don't want to go looking through the thread. But I figure since I just discovered this thread today I should add my voice, and rank the JEW albums (keep in mind that in my opinion, the worst JEW album is better than most people's bests. I legitimately love each one):

    1. Invented
    2. Chase This Light
    3. Bleed American
    4. Futures
    5. Clarity
    6. Damage
    7. Static Prevails

Chase This Light is by far the catchiest JEW record for me (however Clarity is my favorite), always surprised to see it low on people's lists
