I usually love opening tracks, don’t get me wrong. But it is rare that they are absolute favorite of the entire album. You need to start strong, so having the opening track be one of the best just makes sense from a “first impression” stand point. But having it be the absolute best on the album? That’s a bit more rare, at least in all that I have listened to.

Kill - "Pain" is great but "Kill" is better 23 - pretty easy Polaris - also pretty easy Just Tonight - If "Night Drive" is my least favorite, then I would say that "Work" is probably my second least favorite. (not that they are bad songs but I hold everything else on here to such a high bar)
