yeah before this whole tournament started I figured Sky Harbor would make it pretty far. still nearly certain "23" wins the Futures section if not the whole damn thing tho
I like Lucky Denver Mint because it sounds like no other Jimmy Eat World song. Some of their songs are a bit on the homogenous side.
I don't think either of those will win the whole thing. 23 is more likely, I think though, of the two. Or maybe I'm just naive. #notadizzysuperfan
23 is also my early pick to win it all but that's probably just because it's one of the greatest songs written since the turn of the century.
I will vote The Middle into oblivion. I love JEW but I will quite happily never hear The Middle ever again
the Bleed American round is definitely going to be interesting will we overcompensate and underrate huge hits for being ubiquitous? will we overrate them because of nostalgia? will the more casual fan effect play a big part in the results? find out on the next episode of BRACKETS.FM: The Jimmy Eat World Saga
if A Praise Chorus doesn't win Bleed American there's something wrong here SO COME ON DAVEY SING ME SOMETHING THAT I KNOW
the great thing about this band is that there's at least 3 songs for each album that you could make a strong case for being that album's top track sure that has a lot to do with differing personal preference, but the variety of strong opinions among their fanbase is definitely rare imo
