Fair enough to the lack of money/babysitter/etc. But looking at Setlist.FM, they've played somewhere in the state of New York at least 10 times since just 2011. I think they've played here in Utah about 10 times since 2002... haha.
I think it’s only weird if they played it at those shows. Otherwise, I can see not getting to it on an album listen.
I'm lucky to see 2 concerts a year at best. Rochester and Buffalo are the only feasible places for me to see a show too. Most of their NY shows were probably in NYC or close by.
They sadly didn’t play it at my CTL show, I believe. Pretty sure they just played tracks 1-4 and that was it. I feel like remember being bummed it wasn’t played as it was probably the best track off that one. Now I gotta check.
To be fair, I think they've only played that song at just 1 of the shows I've seen them. You could name a song off of Damage, Invented, or Chase This Light, and I probably wouldn't even know which album it's on... hahaha. I love the band, but don't love their whole discography, if that makes sense. And as far as "Dizzy" goes, I've listened to maybe 10 times since it came out. MAYBE. I've listened to the entire Clarity album 10 times in the last couple months. So yeah, agree to disagree, hahaha.
Yea, I didn’t get it at my show. Still a great set though. Jimmy Eat World Setlist at Carnegie Music Hall of Homestead, Munhall
They played it at this show I was at: Jimmy Eat World Setlist at In The Venue, Salt Lake City But they haven't played it since then at any show I've been to. Must not be that popular haha jk
They did it both times I saw them. While I never listen to that album, I’m okay with them showing it some love in a nice long set.
I've only seen JEW 4x. 2001 (opened for Weezer), 2002, 2010 and 2013. They hardly ever come to Cleveland. They did this summer opening for Incubus but no thanks to that. 2010 I drove to Columbus by myself to see them. One of my favorite concerts of all-time.
All of that talk of "Dizzy" yesterday made me accidentally stumble on "You Got Me Dizzy" by Jimmy Reed on Spotify, and I haven't stopped listening to him... haha
Either you're just bad at cheating Or there's something in your heart you wished I knew from "You Were Good" is absolutely wrecking to anyone who's been cheated on.
screw it. my top 5 jew songs: 1: 'get it faster'. my mind was blown the first time i heard the bridge section of that song. all that anarchist sound and then boop : normalcy. 2: 'goodbye sky harbor'. more importantly, the abbreviated version found on the 'believe in what you want' dvd. the original 16 minute album version is a beautiful piece of music. but the dvd version has an awesome build up to the end of the song. 3: '23'. on a personal level, this was the song that my ex wife used to walk down the aisle. we both fell for the futures album hard and this song was on the top of the list. countless night drives listening to this song specifically. 4: 'you with me'. odd that a son from a new album is this high on the list, but the music is flawless and the lyrics lit me like a head on collision. 'is it you, or is it you with me' is a staggering lyric that i can relate to. 5: 'stop'. already having the demo of this from the ctl sessions, i was hooked on the song. so when this was released on the invented album, i knew i would like the final version just as much. turned out i liked it even more.
