Was torn between you with me or through from IB. the former shows a more soaring band while the latter shows their tight pop rock chops. I figure 23 and dizzy will cover the soaring aspect so through it was

I guess I definitely prefer the soaring, now that I'm taking a second look at my list haha. Here It Goes covers the tight poppy songwriting though.

Played invented in the car with a friend today and when the song "exploded", he asked "did he just say 'theres a sinner mannequin'?"

    Nearly killed me hahaha

Jimmy Eat World playing support for Incubus on upcoming NA tour. What a rad show that would be. I'm so happy to live in the touring band's asshole that is Saskatchewan.

Haha I won't unhear that now. Just like some YouTube commenter ruined the chorus of Bleed American for me by saying it sounds like "Salt, sweat, sugar honey ass farts."

Over the years...and I mean years....Like since 2001....I've revisited Clarity and tried over and over again to connect with the album like it has with so many JEW fans, but I just can't get into it like others and I REALLY want to. So, I'm asking fans of this album, why does this album mean so much to you?

To me, Clarity is about the experiences I've had with it being the soundtrack. There was a significant time in my life that I just stopped caring as a teenager and did whatever crazy things I could, and Clarity was sort of my companion album for those times. Had a fling with a girl during that time and remember listening to Goodbye Sky Harbor after I saw her for the last time and that song kind of encapsulated my feelings; moreso the music than the lyrics.

I'm sorry it hasn't clicked for you. Running into an EX Gf in Italy was a pretty surreal moment for me. There was a sight in London which you could see the whole skyline from, and Just For The Fireworks kinda played in my head the first time I saw the sight, then a month after seeing her we saw that same skyline together after months of praying for her to comeback into my life. A prayer for Owen Meany is my favorite novel(read it my first year of college was the only thing keeping me sane), so Goodbye Sky Harbor is up there. The whole album in general is beautiful. IDK I am a little drunk I'm like;y not making any sense.

Saw JEW for the first time last night and it was probably the best show I've seen. They didn't leave anything out. Perfect set list.

Now that I've been listening to Integrity Blues for like 6 months....Its amazing how much lasting value that album has.

I will say...It has become my second favorite JEW record right behind Futures. What a great release. Hits home every time I listen to it. I can't say that about many of my favorite bands that have been around for like 20 years.

They played about 7 tunes from integrity blues last night and they definitely all hold up with their older material. Played no songs from invented lol.
