Anyway, this version of Drugs or Me is so much better than the album version

 

yeah. they recorded a set of demos with trombino that included disintegration, closer, over, etc. then they parted ways with trombino and started again on the album with gil norton instead, and thats when they wrote polaris, 23 etc.

 

Ohhh so that's why the trombono sessions aren't the futures tracklist? That means...I have the wrong demos. Goddamnit

I like "your Tolkien makes my eyes burn." That could be the lyric and I would be okay with it

 

I don't know how how I never realized that the Praise Chorus quoted other songs in its chorus. It is one of the highlights of Bleed American for me and I always felt like it must be a shout out to something. Now I know

Ahh I've had a ton of misheard lyrics with JEW...

"Always Be" is one of my favorite songs and sometimes I still have trouble comprehending whatever the hell he's trying to get across in the chorus haha
