Invented is honestly like, Static Prevails part 2

 

Eh, Invented sounds too much like Taylor Swift.

 

If y'all think invented sounds like Taylor swift wait til you hear integrity blues...

 

Integrity Blues sounds more Christian Radio than Taylor Swift

 

I'm expecting something almost indistinguishable from One Direction.

 

Damage is kind of like the 1994 self-titled part III. (Because Bleed American was Part II)

 

The End Is Beautiful segues into a partial cover of What Makes You Beautiful. I don't even care that I spoiled that

 

My top two of all time.

I don't completely disagree with the Snow Patrol/Coldplay comments above. Lots of good songs on it, and "Here It Goes" is one of JEW's high points, but for me Chase This Light is the JEW album without much of an edge.

 

CTL as a whole is way more poppy and upbeat than those bands

 

"Feeling Lucky" has got to be one of their most underrated songs.

 

i dont know man, i might even prefer Jen to Feeling Lucky. and Jen is renowned for being the bands worst song.

 

But Feeling Lucky is the dance song

 

Chase This Light doesn't sound a goddamn thing like either of those bands.

 

It's a lot more diverse and just has better songwriting than any of those bands.

 

I like records by both Snow Patrol and Coldplay. I just don't think there's any comparison there. They write songs very differently and don't sound that similar from a sonic standpoint.

 

For sure

 

Jimmy Eat World are a lot more dynamic than those bands. It's indie vs. alt-rock.

 

Coldplay are pretty dynamic.

 

Not just that but nothing mentioned has really classified as indie rock

 

Yeah, I was going to say, those guys can do a lot of different things.

If there is a JEW album that I would compare to Coldplay, it's Invented, just because the arrangements and production work are so lush.
