Hey now. Look at you. Way cool.

    I'll play...

Damage > Futures = Clarity > Static Prevails > Bleed American > Chase This Light = Invented > Jimmy Eat World

Oh yeah definitely super underrated. It's not quite as good as the last 4 but it's got some amazing songs

i think its up there honestly even if its not my favorite of all those albums it definitely holds its own in their discog.

the more upbeat songs anyway like "no, never" remind me of stuff like...."praise chorus" kind of. spiritually. in terms of feel.

hard to explain...there just a certain energy im picking up on

it kind of makes sense to me in the sense that some people always say invented is kind of like clarity or an updated clarity, and damage is the follow up to that the way BA was the follow up to clarity. not exact parallels but just something about the feel of those albums

Huh. I've actually never heard that about clarity/invented, although, like, in terms of structure I totally get it. I'd liken invented to futures personally but that's a cool thought. Gonna just run thru this band's whole discog today instead. That sounds better

the reason the clarity parallel was always there is because the band kind of hinted at it themselves, plus theres a tom song and they went with the same producer

im pretttttty sure they said they went with trombino to capture some of that same energy they had with clarity. plus they did the clarity shows in 2009 so the album was fresh on their minds im sure when they were recording.
