I expected more Thinking, that's all with a slow song here and there. When the fueled by ramen ep came out I had an idea they were moving in a slightly different direction

 

get to damage and immediate thought is.. why don't people like this record. This record meant a lot to me in a really dark period of my life and I listened to it exclusively for almost a month straight

I remember there being a lot of complaints when it came out on AP

I think it's just grown on people over time

 

I mean, in the "Sure and Certain" news thread just last week, people were still shitting on Damage. It's definitely more liked than it was, but it continues to be underappreciated IMO.

 

yes, I've seen a few things recently as well. I'm glad its growing on people though. I really loved it when it came out, still do.. How'd You Have Me is so good

But Damage is a good album. I've always liked it

no one asked but after listening to the entire discography I have a ranking I feel very comfortable with

1. Clarity
2. Futures
3. Damage
4. Bleed American
5. Invented
6. Chase the Light
7. The Static Prevails

will be interesting to see where the new one sits for me

 

Clarity > Futures > Bleed Anerican > Chase This Light > Invented > Damage > Static Prevails

I doubt the order of these changes. It hasn't in a long time. Just a matter of where each subsequent album slots in

First ranking. My list is weird. Clarity, Chase This Light, and Futures were so hard to rank and honestly will change spots in like 2 hours.

 

Watch out guys. Putting Static Prevails last will create a hive mind where people automatically think it's bad without listening to it and that isn't fair. its just not right.

 

I would put sp over damage honestly

 

Chase This Light > Invented > Futures > Bleed American > Damage > Clarity > Static Prevails

Idk Clarity is my #1 after that they're all pretty equal but it's safe to say I love them all

I would disagree with that to an insane extent. But it's your rankings if you choose to do so. So, feel free.

There just was a guy who lost his mind about this topic. I can only imagine his reaction when he sees SP last on every ranking, so far.

 

I do too. I know I'll look back at my ranking in weeks/months/years and disagree with it completely...
