Dizzy just made me get some pretty serious tears in my eyes. I can't remember the last time a song did that to me.
So over the years, except for a few songs, I've kinda soured on CTL. I decided to revisit the album after reading all of your comments. Damn, it's so much better than I remember. I know I'm a little late to the conversation but I wanted to share anyway
my favourite album of all time. it does lean heavily on its lyrics, though. musically it doesnt go as big as their other stuff so i can see why people were tepid on it.
I liked it but definitely didn't strike a chord with me the way most of their prior albums have so it was a little underwhelming for me. I revisited earlier today and liked it a lot more than I ever did but still doesn't hit me as hard as their prior albums. Book of Love though is an amazing song. I love that so much
It took a while but Damage grew on me. The lyrics hit close to home now more than when it was released
It's my least favorite they've released since SP, but it's still really good. I've actually just listened to it a couple times lately and I still enjoy it a lot three years later.
Tomorrow at work I'll listen to those albums. I caught them while they were touring during static prevails. It's a favorite. I've always enjoyed them live. I hope they come back to Philly soon
It's been a long time since I have. I loved damages and clarity is obviously one of my favorite albums. Futures and bleed American are records I really liked a lot as well. Invented and chase this light are probably the two albums I've neglected a bit and only been through a handful of times.
As someone who listens to clarity all of the time, it must have been pretty jarring for fans to go from this to clarity
Currently on chase this light "dizzy" wow.. I don't listen to this band enough. All of the albums sound so crisp and the melodies are so contagious. I have 2 more days at school before i start seeing students (instrumental music teachers don't start until next week) I may go through the discography twice. It's a mistake to ignore a band this good like I have.
