I can't believe Bleed American is 15 years old. It still feels so fresh

clarity is my favourite, but it's definitely a 90's album. BA is just what the fuck. a band could release that tomorrow and it would still be top of the game and sound new and exciting. it's crazy.

 

I think Clarity could come out today and still be regarded as an absolute masterpiece but I feel that way with all JEW records post SP

I broadly agree with you on Futures.

 

There are a few albums in the world that I could spend days talking about. Bleed American is one of those.

Which songs? I agree with your assessment, I'd go: Kill, The World You Love, Pain, Polaris, 23.

 

Can't imagine thinking there are only five Futures highlights and still listing "Pain." Ha

 

Futures is front to back perfection. You want a hot take, look somewhere else.

all of a sudden The Middle became very relatable for me

 

"Kill" is the best song on Futures

Futures is like, the 3rd best JEW record which speaks more to the quality of JEWs catalog than anything (I know Craig will have a bone to pick with this one. love you Craig hope we're still friends)

Damage and Chase This Light are two of the most underrated albums from this scene. They are both incredible.

This band is the best I hope we get a record this year.

 

I actually die on the inside when I see JEW rankings. There's really no definitive ranking. All their albums rotate the #1 spot with me. (With the exception of Static always being last)

 

Some of this Futures talk is harmful to my soul.

It's my third favorite album. Ever.

 

I also think Futures is third best, behind CTL and Invented
