How would you all feel if these two songs were b-sides from the record? I think that'd be an interesting strategy: releasing bonus tracks as singles. I guess the issue could arise of the bonus tracks not sounding anything like the record but still, could be an interesting strategy. This is just a hunch id imagine both of these tracks are on the record, just cool and a bit strange that we're getting another one so soon
We don't know. It hasn't been announced either way. The new single, "Sure and Certain", is being released as a separate 7" with a b-side entitled "My Enemy". So maybe "Sure and Certain" is the first actual single off the record and "Get Right" is just new music for the fans to tide us over.
I waited outside of a venue in Port Chester for four hours outside of their tour bus and they all came out individually at different times for their soundcheck. Rick and Zack were so surprised I knew their names. All super nice guys. I cried after seeing Jim like a little girl. I was so star struck that I said "thank you for repressing clarity on vinyl." That's what I said to the frontman of my all time favorite band. lol I thanked him for helping me through a lot of shit but I remember saying that nonsense about the Clarity repress haha
I'm just interested in what b-sides and bonus songs will be with this record, some hidden treasures in their least known stuff
There's pretty much no scenario where this isn't a top three record for 2016 for me. So excited for it.
Yup. And there have already been some incredible albums to come out this year. I'm expecting this to be in the running for my favorite for sure.
Wow to that vinyl collection. Definitely don't own anything rare. Signed copy of Damage on CD, CTL on vinyl, I think that's it haha. The one time I saw them was 3 years ago at a festival in Milwaukee. A few hours before their set, Jim went out into the fest to grab dinner. I think he got some sort of sandwich. He came out to this little spot on the side of the stage to eat so he could hang out with fans for a bit. It was a spot that anyone could get to. I talked to him for a good bit and he was just so nice and down to earth. Love those guys.
Anybody else just absolutely loving Get Right? I've had it on repeat for 15-20 minutes now. Great song.
Listened to it twice, and I'm a big fan. Holding off listening anymore until the album comes out so I don't get sick of it by then. We have almost two months to go, wahhhh.
I mainly make his joke because this album rollout is 1000x less frustrating than Brand New. I've only been a fan of JEW for a week, and I'm already so satisfied by this album cycle. So much so that it just brings to light my immense frustration as a Brand New fan. JEW is love. JEW is life.
I only listened to Get Right once. I don't like listening to one song a bunch before the album comes out anymore. It gives me a good taste, and I will listen anything else that gets released once, but I then prefer to listen to the full album.
I've been an extremely casual fan of JEW for over a year but am just now going in full force (I only listened to Invented for the second time ever today). So yeah, like I said earlier, impeccable timing haha
Honestly surprised (pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless) that there are this many people who are just now getting into this band.
I just bought tickets to see them for the first time, in about two weeks. I honestly can't believe it. Going to shows is always exciting but it is truly special when you know that it is a band that will stay with you the rest of your life.
They were a grower for me. Futures was really their only album that got me from the beginning when that came out.
