Fuck, was not expecting new Jimmy Eat World this year. 2016 might be my favorite year in music ever at this point.

I don't like that song anywhere near as much as most people seem to, haha.

 

They've had an album out every three years since like 2001, haha. Was there something that made people not expect this?

I just didn't really hear much about them seriously recording, knew they were demoing earlier this year, was expecting an early 2017 release though.

I wasn't expecting new JEW until next year for whatever reason so this week has been wonderful

 

Not sure if this has been posted here yet, but here's another song that may be on the album called ,"Get Right (Destination Addicted)"

Not sure if I like it or not, but only because it reminds me a lot of their Futures B-side called "You" for some reason.

 

I can definitely imagine that song full band.

 

Everything they do is marketing. They've cultivated an image of mysteriousness and eccentricity and now they're maintaining it. Basically, they try really hard to make it seem like they're not trying hard, and they care an awful lot about making sure everyone thinks they don't really care at all.

And I'm as fanboy-ish as they come when it comes to Brand New.

 

Unlike Brand New, Jimmy Eat World are actually as good as Chorus/AP thinks Brand New is.
