This is probably just their "aggressive" lead single and the rest of the album won't sound all that similar.
It's a lot heavier and more complex than any of those. I'm not really opposed to it, I just wonder if it's actually them. I wonder if Jim has any sort of aggressive vocal range.
Reminds me of Evidence, but heavier. I would be happy if this album was similar to Invented. It doesn't sound like we're getting something like CTL or Damage. Anyway, I love how this band keeps changing their sound with every release, it's always so refreshing.
It's been a decade since I've attempted to get into Jimmy Eat World. Where do I start to make another attempt?
Gotta find a way to listen in the best quality possible. Prime Music has Bleed American and Damage. Might have to bite on a student account of Apple Music.
Bleed American wouldn't be a bad choice, but actually Chase This Light might be a better option now that I think about it. Damage would be one of the last records I start with. Though I do love it.
I had Chase This Light in my iTunes library for the longest time, but the bonus tracks seemed to only appear in my shuffle. It was weird. I don't think I ever listened.
You haven't heard Chase This Light? Oh man. Their second best album in my opinion. You'd be hard pressed to find any flaws on that record.
I mean, no flaws, if you don't count the mid album painful Gotta Be Somebody Else's Blues. It's a massive falter.
