Ha, hyperbolic work choice. BUT, as much as I love them all, Futures is my favorite by a very wide margin. They're not a band where I've ever questioned which album I consider to be the "best."
I very briefly liked Futures best when I was first getting into the band, but once Clarity hit me that was over.
1.futures 2.invented 3.chase this light 4.damage 5.clarity 6.bleed American 7.Static prevails And honestly if I can include SOMST I'd put that at 3 and move the rest down accordingly.
Futures being without a doubt there best and invented being two becomes because it's my personal favorite. You don't get a better three song run then stop, little thing, then leading into cut. It kills.
I'll always see Clarity as their finest moment. However Futures was an important part of my life as it was released during my final year of school, and during a period where I was starting to become worried about what lay in store for me when I left school.
I am selling some JEW vinyl. Jimmy Eat World - Static Prevails Jimmy Eat World - Invented If you're interested, shoot me a PM.
Futures is also one of the most well produced albums of the 2000s. I'd say the best sounding pop rock record of the decade even, save perhaps Radiohead - In Rainbows
