It's a bright, neon orange. I'd snap a picture of the vinyl, but it really doesn't even do it justice.
i was trying to come up with my top 10 Jimmy songs earlier this week and i don't think i could think of 10 i felt were favorites and that works in my favor because "Delivery" is definitely on that list.
Not making the album artwork Jim in his "555" makeup with his culty cronies is a missed opportunity tbh
For real though album is great. Criminal, Delivery and 555 are early favourites. And damn that sax still gets me feeling some way in Stay haha.
I gave my first listen on the train ride commute into work today (even more thankful this is a shorter album because cutting it short would have hindered the first-time listen). Legit started tearing up with “Surviving” when it explodes at the end. This band hits me on so many deep, instinctual levels and I’m glad I’m not the only one. I can’t wait to go on some runs with the album blasting in my ears.
Criminal Energy opening riffage reminds me of The Joker and The Thief or something. Definitely not complaining.
Super early ranking. I think IB is a better album but Surviving has better individual songs. Clarity / JEW EP 98 Futures / Stay On My Side Tonight Integrity Blues Bleed American Surviving Chase This Light Static Prevails Invented Damage
This isn't a ranking, but rather a playlist of Jimmy Eat World title tracks that I keep and constantly reshuffle, but I added Surviving in and messed around with it again – 1. Integrity Blues 2. Chase This Light 3. Clarity 4. Surviving 5. Bleed American 6. Futures 7. Damage 8. Invented
Only song on this I don’t love is 555, and even then I don’t dislike it, it just doesn’t personally do anything for me.
This album is absolutely phenomenal. Whenever the eventual EP or b-sides turn up though I will be 'making a playlist' and dropping 1 or 2 additional songs into the track-list for this, including the reworked "Half Heart" if it even exists and we are lucky enough to be graced with it.
Listened through once so far and, having not listened to any of the singles beforehand, it's definitely not what I was expecting. Definitely skews closest to Bleed American which is honestly probably my least favorite JEW album (although it's great of course). Lots to like but some stuff that I'm honestly unsure of on first listen. I know I'll come around on it though
I am about to do my first listen on my lunch time walk. Been too busy this week to follow much or even this thread and have only heard Love Never and Stay. Safe to say I AM STOKED!!
