It makes me so happy that my colleague is as into this as I am. I wasn't sure what he was gonna think when I put it on. On our second listen and he said there's not one bad song and that he can't wait for the album to come out.
Congratulations is something else. It just doesn't feel like a closer to me. The closest thing I can compare it to is Pass The Baby being a closer, which isn't even a fair comparison because Congratulations feels more epic than that song. Either way, I almost expect an anthemic closer on a JEW record, and Congratulations makes it seem like this album needs an 11th track. Edit: I actually think switching Congratulations with Recommit would have made for better sequencing. Recommit would be a better closer. Initial impression of course.
Damn. I'm going to obsess over the sequencing of this album now. A few small adjustments could potentially make a huge difference for me.
This album has it all with just 10 songs. They did a great job. It definitely doesn't feel like 10 tracks. Especially with a 6 minute song lol.
