It kills me,cuz the sample I found cuts out at THE WORST part. Can't wait to hear the whole song. And album.
So just incase... Davey Havoc of AFI has vocals on congratulations, which isn’t your typical closer from the band... very heavy apparently
As long as it delivers on the band's ability to deliver another gem for an album closer...that's the only "typical" I ask for.
Normally I cave, but with only 8 tracks left to listen to, I've been motivated to avoid anything until release this time around.
I’m extremely online and like to think I keep myself fairly up to date on allegations of abuse and honesty I’ve never even heard of Chris Hardwick. Obviously not saying what minty originally said was okay at all, but c’mon here it’s not far fetched to believe that JEW doesn’t know anything about the allegations.
i really don't want to keep fueling this debate, but bands and labels have publicists, publicists know about shit. there's so little room for me to believe they had NO idea. i don't necessarily go as far as to say they "co-sign" his behavior, but i don't think they can play dumb and say they had no idea.
I hear Jimmy Eat World on our alternative station here in SLC a lot. EDIT: I don't listen to the radio a lot or anything, but when I'm swapping out CDs and whatnot, sometimes I'll hear JEW on there.
i miss when long island had their alt rock station, but the introduction of bluetooth in my car has all but destroyed any chance of me listening to the radio ever again lol my wife has sirius though and that Alt Nation station is pretty decent
To prep for the new album this weekend, I'm listening to Integrity Blues right now for the first time in probably a year... haha. Time flies, guys.
i bumped integrity blues this weekend for the first time in a while and it was, as anticipated, a great time
This band has so many great b-sides. Why don't they have a recent b-sides compilation??? If they did, what would be the perfect b-sides track list?
I've spent a while talking to the publicist handling press for this album, same director of publicity at RCA I've worked with for a while on different albums, and she's been there 11 years ... I'd be willing to bet a good amount of money she has no idea who Chris Hardwick is beyond it being a popular podcast. (We couldn't find a time that worked to do Encore, but she helped schedule Zach and Craig talking for 15 minutes.) I've said it before, but I can't even keep track of who/what has happened with bands/labels/celebrities/etc. these days ... by and large, publicists look at numbers and how to put their bands in front of the biggest ones that have similar demos to who they think will like the music. I think it's easy and good to educate those that don't know about the allegations against someone like Chris, so the band, those reading here, and hopefully in the future the publicists (who I did send an email to this morning), know not to book people or listen to the show. That's actually a helpful thing to do. Hours of getting mad at people here probably isn't.
You would know better than anyone else about this, I trust you on it. Thanks for putting this out there and for reaching out to their publicist. That's way more likely to get seen than anything I do. Appreciate it.
