Would have been fitting to announce it exactly a month from release but I suppose tomorrow/Friday has to be it instead.
I guess, I mean where did you even find that article? Neither Kerrang nor the band posted it anywhere as far as I can see. I understand that the physical magazine is out today, but the story isn't even prominently featured on their web site. I'm sure the band will announce tomorrow or Friday.
I'm betting the announcement/single drops Friday. That would put it exactly 4 weeks out from the album release.
From a google search. But Kerrang is one of the most well known rock music magazines and brands in the UK so even if it's only in the magazine, it's still sort of a big deal. Not that grannies are going to be reading it but the fact that information about the album is in high street stores and supermarkets nationwide right now is pretty "official". Edit: You're right though, I guess it's not quite prominent enough that news stories are being written about it all over. The article almost reads as though the album has already been announced, rather than it being a big announcement party. Though it does acknowledge that it is the "first of many" articles about the album.
If it’s not Friday... man. I’m gonna get all crazy and just do a full discography run through and be all sad and shit.
That’s exactly what I am currently doing.... I’m so confused as to why that haven’t even mentioned a single thing at all
i hope the band trolls us all and announces the first single is 'love never' and we have to wait til release day (or a week before) to hear the entire album.
That’s at a festival in the UK right? Not too surprising imo, You Me At Six are massive over there. Same reason Deaf Havana is one of the headliners of the festival when they’re (sadly) still almost unknown in the US. It’s wild to me how much different countries’ markets are still very distinct for rock music especially.
