It’s a hometown record store for them. I think they did a signing and/or show at a store there for IB if not Damage - semi-recently anyway.

i have the CD kicking around somewhere. unfortunately, i dont think i have a computer with a CD drive anymore.... LOL

 

Yeah why don’t Apple ever just do cd drives with their computers anymore ha ha money I suppose

 

I just heard I Will Go by Jim Adkins in a cafe in Cambridge, UK. Of all the songs to hear!

 

I would have been in my element singing my heart out ha ha

 

I wanted to but I was in the middle of a conversation about work stuff so I had to keep my cool. I also was tempted to go to a staff member and ask who decided on the playlist to maybe make a Jimmy friend but realised that was stupid and probably nobody in the building knew or cared.

 

Nah I would have been singing and cancelled the conversation right out ha ha

Can't contain my excitement. And I'm glad to hear you think Love Never might be the worst song. I'm not the biggest fan of that song (though it has grown on me a lot since hearing the new mix) and it had me slightly unsure what to expect from the rest of the album. Having said that I love All the Way (Stay). How would you say All the Way (Stay) compares with the rest of the album, in terms of quality and general style?

Edit: Oh and I love the live clip of Criminal Energy so I know that song knocks it out of the park already.

 

Loving it already. Very much advocate for Jurassic Park discussions wherever possible. Laughed to myself when you brought up "But that's not what I'm gonna do" because I quote that all the time with my girlfriend and friends. I quote most of the film too to be fair but that line's always a fun one.

 

FYI "(Splash) Turn Twist" arguably has parentheses. Sometimes styled as "Splash, Turn & Twist" but I think the parentheses styling is the proper one.

 

Parentheses in song titles bother me greatly and I almost always manually delete them. I admit that this is very weird, yet I do it.

I’d argue that when there’s parentheses that’s usually just what the song title should be, instead of including whatever’s not in parentheses

 

Love Never is hitting alt rock radio adds on October 15th!

 

I can already see my local station saying “here’s a new song by Jimmy Eat World” and it being fucking Love Never lmao

 

I wonder if the plan was always to include Love Never on the next full-length. I've not overplayed it, but it's still a bittersweet inclusion.

 

I’d be okay if it was a track that got cut. It’s whatever to me

 

Especially once we all hear the album and shout “why did they pick Love Never over ______ for radio adds, THAT one would have been huge!”

 

I really like Love Never, but I’ve been listening to it for so long I feel as though I’ll never fully associate it with this album.
