I'll say this...It's not my favorite on the album, but it's absolutely the song that blew me away most the first time I ever heard/saw them - which was seeing them open up for Weezer in 2001 (I had never heard them before seeing them live).
I can’t stop listening to All the Way - I’m afraid I’m gonna burn it out before the album drops ... is it even possible to burn out a Jimmy Eat World track?
I can never burn out singles because they tend to take on a new life for me in the context of the album. I’m not sure if I’m in the minority on that, but it’s nice because I don’t have to feel pressured to stop listening.
I definitely burnt myself out on the new Blink singles. In context with the album, they're pretty much all bunched together at the top half of the album, so I find myself skipping past them to get to the stuff that I don't know as well/like better. I wonder if I would have enjoyed the top half more if I kept myself from listening to the singles at all, or at least just not as much as I did. I will say though, you're right about the singles typically working better in the context of the whole album. Even the couple singles I wasn't super into kinda feel better/make more sense when I listen to the album as a whole.
I listened to BIOMY the most when it came out, but I still haven’t gotten burned out by it. It puts me in a good mood still lol. I burned myself out over Happy Days and GD. I’d say i started to burn myself with Darkside when the music video dropped. I didn’t listen to I Really Wish I Hated You a lot, but that’s another single I keep going back to the most next to BIOMY
this is the thread where it's safe for me to say i'm mostly lukewarm on nine and love jimmy eat world
Nine isnt so great. Alk3’s output is better so I’d rather have Skiba focusing on that. glad to have Jimmy Eat World and Menz coming so I don’t try to revisit Nine.
