I am going to opt out of listening to any more new singles. I’ve already heard 20% of the album and that’s too much!
If there are any more singles between now and then! With only 3 weeks left this may be all we get until it drops.
I like how Jim's kind of awkward, but in a cute, down to earth kind of way. And I love the way he talks about lyrics and meanings so passionately. I'm predicting a single a week or so before release. The band has said "there's more to come" in some interviews; not specifically about singles but you'd think if the "more to come" was just the album itself then it would be obvious and unnecessary to say it. Also, you might forget that we got 5 tracks before IB came out. Granted Pass The Baby was put out only via radio a few days before the album came out, but we could maybe see something like that this time.
Single + Half Heart is 2/10 of the album thus 20%. But I could be wrong... been over a decade since I’ve taken a math class.
Much as I enjoy the new single I’m hoping for... something deeper from the rest of the album than All The Way and Love Never Bangers are welcome but I know what JEW can provide so please provide it lads
I love this band so much. I've been running through the discography on my morning commute. If Jimmy Eat World isn't inducted into the RNR HOF we riot.
I love seeing the praise for Cautioners. It's always been one of my favourites on BA. I feel that bridge kind of sounds like the Swedish band Kent which, along with JEW, is one of my favourite bands ever. To be honest I can draw quite a few comparisons between the two bands, especially to Kent's early work. They released two of their early records, Hagnesta Hill and Isola, in both swedish and english (though the swedish lyrics are far superior). You should check them out!
Oh, it's sooo good. It was one of the first songs by them I heard. That album (actually, it's a b-side), Vapen och ammunition (Weapons and ammunition) was huge here when it came out. It sold 600k copies, which is insane for a country that had 9 million inhabitants back then.
