The what now "Damaged"

 

I would have thought at least the drums were re-recorded. They sound so much better now. This just goes to show how important a good mix is.

 

for some reason my brain added the extra "D" on the end. still, that album is 100% my least favorite. i thought they were done after that

Maybe I'm being dense, but on the Surviving icons t-shirt on the merch store, what is the Integrity Blues icon supposed to be?

 

Remix sounds a lot better then. Cool that he clarified so quickly. Does this mean they only recorded 9 new songs then? Also, can we get a Half Heart Ken Andrews remix?

one reason damage doesn't suck: it starts with "appreciation"

 

I still feel like Damage would be held in much higher esteem if it had been produced/mixed differently. I think the way it sounds is a roadblock for a lot of people.

I can't believe a remix sounded that much different. That is really cool to know.

Listened to Integrity Blues to check that my mind wasn't playing tricks on me. But no. It has a few good moments but I don't know how anyone's having it anywhere near anything from Clarity through to CTL, the first three of those albums especially.

 

I think this is very true. To me, the songwriting is definitely up to their high standard.

If I listen to any Jimmy Eat World album from Futures on, as soon as it is done playing in my head I say to myself that it's my favorite.

 

I love all of the other post-Static albums but I just have a deeper emotional connection to the three I named, and less personal skips

I understand really any ranking that re: the post-Static albums tho

 

Chase This Light rocks my personal socks.

 

I think it's a small step down from the three before it but it's still great.

Dizzy is unbelievable.

 

Dizzy's my fav song by them and that album has the least skips for me. Those four are peak Jimmy though.
