I live in the UK and I’m thinking 8 in the morning for some new music... I’m a dreamer by the way

 

Rachel Hayden on the new album. She did vocals on Bleed American and appeared elsewhere in their discog I think. I like that the band has a handful of backup vocalists they return to from time to time. Also, Zach says to expect an announcement "soon-ish". If it is Monday then I'd call that "soon", not "soon-ish". So... interesting.

 

I would think with 25 years experience and 10 albums in, the band would have control over when their news, singles, & album drops. But is it possible that maybe the label makes that decision and the band is just waiting along with us? Can’t tell if this tweet from Zach is sarcasm or not. I originally thought it was, but not certain now.

 

He definitely is implying it’s the label there.

 

It's RCA and they're a small(ish) band, no surprises there. I'm still convinced we'll have something in the coming week though.

 

Yeah as much as it sucks, I'm not surprised if they are now low on a major label's priorities :/

 

Do the BBC name what songs will be played on their programs? Might be playing the new single tonight?

 

Yeah they usually do but I don’t think they are... jimmy would have said something if they were going to air it tonight!

 

Nothing on the Australia iTunes stores yet, and it's 30 minutes past midnight there.

Maybe. Singles from IB tended to leak the night before though.

 

That haven’t stated anything official so we could be waiting another week

I trust him he’s a reliable source, but we still haven’t had an official release from the guys... we can hope for something today

 

An official announcement about the album, track listing and some more info might come together with the single release (probably for all the countries at the same time). That's why maybe the single is not yet on Spotify and Apple Music for New Zealand and Australia.

Music news is basically never announced on the weekend. Tomorrow seems likely.

 

I'm trying to keep up here. Why do people believe we'll have a single in the next day or so? I assumed Friday, but I clearly missed something.

Well they're announcing tour tomorrow at 9am EST (know this for a fact), so hopefully we get a little more than that (like new single/album info) at the same time, instead of having to wait til Friday
