There were "technical difficulties" before the start of their set so they went on almost twenty minutes later (after the dumb radio guy gave his stupid spiel) but still played their entire set. I feel like that's just in order of album appearance and not set order. They played all of those same songs in Pomona sans LDM in favor of Goodbye Sky Harbour. Closing out the set with all new songs seems weird lol
Yeah that album has grown on me like crazy. You never know. But they didn't do one for Bleed American so you're probably right.
I assumed the next leg would have Cleveland on it because it usually seems too but alas... it's not. Maybe in the summer.
I was hoping for that too...That said, I'm pretty sure they've only played Cleveland twice in the past 7-10 years. (early 2011 and summer of 2013 are the last two I can remember). Bummer.
I didn't realize they hadn't been here that much. I thought it was more because I remember seeing them at the HOB Cleveland in 2007, 2011 and 2013 - which still, three times in ten years isn't many. Although I could swear there was another time between that as well. I know I have seen them three times at the shithole Newport (as well as three times at different festivals). But I thought it was four at HOB but I could be wrong about that. I might have to dig out the ticket stub box and see because I'm curious now.
Saw JEW at the KROQ Christmas show last night and was blown away. Can't believe I never really got into these guys before. I've only seen them one other time, on Pop Disaster in 2002 before anybody really knew who they were. Outside of the 4 or so songs I definitely knew, I realized I recognized every one of their shows. Amazing set, so glad I got to see them.
Search for setlists: Jimmy Eat World Cleveland | setlist.fm Not sure if that's all the dates (sometimes Setlist.FM misses them) but I think it's pretty accurate from what I can remember. I saw the 01 (opening for Weezer) show and the 02 Agora show. Also saw them at HOB in 2013. Didn't go to the 2011 show just because I saw them at Newport a few months previously on what was the same tour (which was my favorite JEW show out of the four times I've seen them).
Yeah, I saw that as well. I feel like there's one between 2007 and 2011 but I could very well be really wrong. I look at this as well to try to figure out when I've seen some people but I feel like unless it's from 2013-on that site isn't completely reliable. Lol.
Finally getting to see them in San Antonio! Was hoping for a Houston date but I'll take what I can get. Somehow I've never seen them live
I have loved this band for many years and somehow the first time I saw them was on the Futures 10th Anniversary Tour.. I can tell you, you will not be disappointed this is one of those bands that just sounds so great live and puts on a hell of a performance.
