I think.. But "Invented" and "Chase This Light" need to fit in there too. Ugh.

Also did this without looking at their discography, so my initial opinion wouldn't be swayed once I see all the other incredible songs I left off lol

 

surprised by all the love for Carry You. thats kind of cool. probs the only tracks on Chase that would get in my top 40 or 50 would be Always Be and Dizzy. They are pretty high though.

 

i've been doing pretty good these past few weeks, but today in particular i am just absolutely dying to hear this record. 3 more daysssss

 

Deep cuts on CTL are so underrated. "Feeling Lucky" is the definition of a JAM.

 

"firefight" is a really really really good song. i know a lot of people aren't really too into that one.

 

I love "firefight." The only song on that record I don't give much attention to is "gotta be somebody's blues." Haven't listened to that song in ages to be honest.. I'll have to revisit

 

ahhh that's one of my favorites. so good.

 

everytime this thread adds up 4-5 pages all of sudeen i hold my breath for an album leak

 

at 38 sec in carry you, for me thats a real rad tweak of thier chorus riff for polaris i love when band do that

yeah firefight is a suprisngly good song again very jimmy eat world like

 

let it happen is one of the catchiest songs theyve written and sounded so fucking amazing live

 

thats a top 10 jimmy song

 

Now that I think about it, I don't know if I've been to a JEW concert since 2007 where they haven't played that live.

 

I'll forego the effort of narrowing down all of this band's great songs and just say that I agree wholeheartedly with this batch.

 

"big casino" and "i will steal you back" are the band's two best singles

 

I can agree with this mostly.. but I have a huge soft spot for "Always Be"

 

and "you with me"

 

Too early for me to make that call but that song is fucking everything. It was sooooo good live I hope it's a staple of their set forever.

 

I don't know if "You With Me" actually counts as a "single" though. Just a pre-release

 

w.e!

 

Sure And Certain is the only single for this album roll out that I've listened to more than once - so I'm just beyond excited to hear this album on Friday. JEW is the best band in the world.

feels like something they choosed real fast n dind tlook back on

 

Eh, the album artwork might be "underwhelming" but I like the simplicity in the sense that the single artworks collectively paint the big picture. The album cover might just be a picture of the girl, but the specific song covers take you on her journey. I see what they were trying to do there..
