ive known it for a long time and am sure some others have, but i guess it depends one whether one goes looking for the info. if you listen to Go Big Casino's live show in Phoenix in 1999, jim says "this song is for mykel and carli allan" before going into Hear You Me. you prompted me to listen to the weezer song for the first time. it has "hear you me" in the chorus thats pretty cool. it was a saying of theirs, which is why jim uses the same lyric
dudes. theres a clip of a new song at the end of the latest episode of the soundcheck podcast (linked from the bands facebook). sounds epic. people who have heard the album, what song is this?
@minty you;re right most people taste are very contradictory due to like you said , the emotional reasoning behind it i dont have enough legs arms toes head tails, to count the amount of time i hated a song before loving it to death once i got over the popular stigma around the song or just over not wanting to like it for whatever reasons
thanks! I suspected it might be since it sounds pretty epic and "closery". Excited about that song. Slightly gutted that I've had a spoiler of it though. But I didn't know it was going to come when I listened to the podcast. Maybe I should suggest to other people to not search for the clip if they don't want that song spoiled for them.
It's not a video it's a podcast. I heard it on iTunes. You're on about the Pol Roger clip right? It's the end of this podcast: Jimmy Eat World, Sure and Certain Beware of the spoiler! It gives you the chorus and bridge of the song. Perhaps the "climax".
I will say that I regret hearing it. And I always look for new clips from JEW. It happened by accident. Did get me excited though because it sounds great. Very, very Jimmy Eat World.
i think its ok but in the context of the whole album or in the context of that song i might like it more , ill have to hear the full song before i can realy say if i like it or not
Just realized Friday starts my fall break so I'll get to listen to the record for the first time on a nice long drive home. Works out perfectly. The 1975 album came out on a day I was headed home too.. nothing like listening to a record for the first time while driving. Hope this is a good fall soundtrack! So excited.
I disagree on several of those, but Evidence is a haaaard no. The closing two are good though you're right. For You Were Good With Me, This Heaven Is Free
It's about a minute...I was already probably most excited for this song on the track list overall. Sounds fantastic!
