I omitted Static Prevails and the debut S/T since those songs would def be at the bottom for me, but other than that I'm ranking everything. Might be finished tonight.

Yep! I've had enough time with it to feel comfortable including it

 

most people taste are extremly contradictory and much more base on if they are fan of the band and if they click emotionaly with that song (nostalgia,if they heard it at the right time)

i see proofs of this all the time

 

wait...isn't everyone's taste dependent on if they're a fan of the band or not? no one's objective, it's not possible. and liking music based on emotional response is....completely normal and another thing everyone does. i dont see how either of those things are "contradictive" (the word youre looking for is contradictory btw)

 

@sophos34 no some people like songs regardless of who the artist is, even tho they are probably much fewer . i happen to be one of them

Fully agree. Perfect of example of how JEW does hard rock so damn well, the riff when the second verse comes in is just massive.

Hey y'all. Gotta be honest and say I am totally ignorant of Jimmy Eat World outside of The Middle and maybe one song they've released in the last 5 years that I'd probably recognize but can't remember the name. Seems to be a lot of excitement here for this album so I want to see what I've been missing... where do I start with these guys??

 

Ohhhhh man. What kind of music are you into? If you prefer darker alt rock then futures; if you like poppier stuff then bleed American (that's the one with the middle). All of their albums since static prevails are excellent tho
