I just discovered the full version of "Anais" that was the b-side to "My Best Theory". Did not know it existed, only ever heard the demo on the deluxe version of "Invemted". Love it when that happens.
Not sure if you have Apple Music or if this will work as I'm in the UK, but I found it here: Listen to My Best Theory (UK Version) - Single by Jimmy Eat World on @AppleMusic. My Best Theory (UK Version) - Single by Jimmy Eat World on Apple Music
heard You Are Free when i saw them live tonight. thought the verses were lovely, but thought the chorus was awfully boring. maybe there are flourishes on the album though that make it interesting that just didnt translate live in a venue with poor sound.
Yeah, that's why I want the full lyrics ... I have a theory but can't tell if it's right or not and don't wanna say without knowing for sure.
Posted this in the band thread but it should probably be here. 1:30 of 'You Are Free' live - Also, Robin Vining is on tour with them again. How long until he becomes an official member of the band?
I mean I think it's just fun throwing out different interpretations before the lyrics are more clear and explained
it's my favorite since invented which doesn't mean a lot. i like it a lot though. feels like a hybrid of futures, chase this light, and invented, while also being its own thing
Would you have expected this opinion after hearing the first two songs released? I guess I'm asking this because I like Get Right and S&C, moreso the latter, but I'm definitely not consumed by what I've heard so far.
I'm expecting to like this more than Damage and Invented based on what I've heard so far but I'm not that crazy about those albums.
he contributed to the newest record which is really cool, in my mind he is an official member. He contributes a lot, acoustic guitar and keys and tambourine and a few other instruments here and there.
I made it a point to only listen to those songs once or twice each before the album, so I didn't really have much of an opinion going in on them besides that I liked what I had heard.
Havnt been on as much as I usually am because I've started dating this girl and things are going really really good, but I will say JEW has been my soundtrack the past few weeks and I'm so so so ready for this album. I'm in love with Sure And Certain,
Whoaaa. I don't believe you! I need to hear it myself I guess. Send me that link whenever you catch a sec. ; )
Wasn't sure where this was sitting for me until yesterday. Then I jammed it twice while driving back from a Butch Walker show late last night. Now I think it could honestly be my second favorite JEW record. Something about playing these songs probably a little too loud while driving probably a little too fast on a dark rainy highway at 2am was fucking immaculate. You are all in for a treat here.
