a lot of people expressed disappointment over that riff when they had it on their website. does it work well in the context of the song?
It's one of the best moments on the album; I think so, although if someone were to disagree I'd get where they're coming from
If I had the choice i wouldn't have spoiled that bit about Pass The Baby. I would've kept that secret till the album dropped.
In the sense that sound like specific B sides, or in the sense that they sound like second rate Futures songs?
Can someone at least explain how Pass The Baby as a song title gets redeemed in the context of the song? Lol
I bet it has something to do with a tragedy involving a baby. Maybe it'll be something like Yellowcards "Ten"
I took it kind of as a reference to the music industry and their obsession with young (typically feminine) bodies. Which admittedly may be the completely wrong interpretation but I think that is a pretty complex lyrical passage
Alright then. That's what I assumed it was named after. Thought it was going to be a song about being a dad.
they just sound like they come out of that era, some of the mid tempo stuff like shame. definitely a compliment one song reminds me of Polaris a lot
I don't know of the game, but passing a baby is something some people fear (i.e. some people don't want to handle your infant) and parents do just to get a break at a party or something. I can't imagine that in the context of a song. But it's possible it touches on themes of responsibility or needing a break. Whatever. Seems like a reach, but it's an odd choice regardless.
