I've been a JEW fan for around 12 years now. My personal album ranking is:

Clarity
Futures
Bleed American
Chase This Light
Damage
Static Prevails
Invented

Clarity and Static Prevails don't really sound anything like what the band sounds like now, however. If you want the next logical step after Bleed American, go with Futures. If you want to hear their early/more emo phase, go with Clarity. That album is top 5 all-time for me.

Barely have listened to SP, honestly, so I don't feel comfortable ranking that one. I also barely remember how some of the songs on Invented go, so I probably owe that album a revisit.

 

Just so we're clear...this album hasn't officially been announced yet, right?

I remember first seeing/hearing Jimmy Eat World opening for Weezer in 2001. Became obsessed with them right away.

I'd go: Futures/Bleed American/Chase This Light/Clarity/Invented/Damage/SP

Know I'll get flack for having Clairy no. 4, which I do love, but I really have to be in a certain mood to listen to it. Damage was a huge letdown for me.

Does anyone have the 10 Year Anniversary Edition of Clarity on vinyl that they might be willing to sell?

I think I've settled on this being my ranking. Clarity and Chase can swap back and forth depending on the day, though.

 

You're like the only other person who thinks Damage is a top tier JEW album I've seen, thank you.

 

I can't rank JEW albums because I think there's a strong case for anything post-Static being their best.
