it’s weird how jimmy eat world quietly became my favorite band of all time over the past few years

 

I'd love for them to continue working with JMJ. Or a different production team entirely, that's always interesting.

 

I get Futures vibes from these songs more than anything else.

 

Songs are sweet. I could picture "Love Never" on Damage.

 

My goodness I love this band. You can set your watch by how consistently awesome they are.

"Jimmy Eat World also announced four new shows for their 2018 tour. Tickets for the concerts in Jackson, Wyoming (September 10th); Salt Lake City, Utah (September 11th); Las Vegas (September 13th) and Los Angeles (September 15th) go on sale Friday, May 11th at 10 a.m. local time. The summer trek launches May 4th with a slot at Atlanta's Shaky Knees Festival."

I don't have the ear for the production style, but from a songwriting standpoint these both sound like they're straight off of Damage

I like them, wouldn't say I love them yet. Very by-the-numbers JEW, which so much of their last album wasn't.

 

love never seriously sounds like it would fit in on invented, chase this light, or futures

 

so maybe it sounds like they are working on some stuff? could be why this upcoming tour is such a short run? will they finally break the three year album cycles?

 

Even if its 3 years, that means we're getting an album next year

Which would be fine by me

I'd like to hear something a little different from them, but after Integrity Blues my trust is renewed

 

early on next year would still be under three years IB came out in october

 

Fuck "Love Never" is so good.

Love 'em both, and how they're both different kinds of tunes. "half heart" gives me Invented vibes tbh. Any new JEW is alright with me; gives me a warm & fuzzy feeling.

 

I love the slower one. the drums in the chorus remind me of "disintegration" and thats a good thing.

 

Speaking of, can we talk about what a beast drummer Zach Lind is? That guy is phenomenal.

 

Zach Lind is so good. He plays for the songs VERY WELL. That is a learned skill and one he possesses to an umpteeth degree.

JEW have the sturdiest, most underrated rhythm section.

Thanks for posting, I really loved that. Reminds me of Futures-the-song, but I could also see it fitting on CTL (Big Casino) or Invented.

I love Jimmy Eat World. Time to find the other song. :)
