I loved it because if you said educate slowly and improperly I can see how someone would spell it that way haha
I did that earlier in the thread and, like, I think at least giving people the option of not seeing setlist spoilers if they're going to see 'x' band on the same tour is good for just general practice. It allows them to make the choice to view setlists ahead of their own experience, rather than have that choice be made for them.
Damn that setlist is pretty great. But a perfect JEW setlist in my book must include Goodbye Sky Harbor. All 16 glorious minutes of it.
The 10 minute version would be fine for me. Actually I like the 5 minute or whatever version a lot. I actually did get to see that live.
Went to sonic with some friends and Sure and Certain started playing. I cannot express how hard it was to contain myself.
Sonic's music playlist is on point. Had a similar reaction when I went last week and heard the new Andrew McMahon haha
Fantastic night album. My praise and criticism remains the same: this album sounds so familiar, like I've already been listening to it for years. "Through" has the same guitar pacing as "Work". "The End is Beautiful" has the same beat as "Hear You Me". The bass line in "It Matters" is almost identical to the one in "Polaris" (although the little semitonal walk down during "doesn't it sound good to you" clinches it for me, just gorgeous). The chorus to "Pretty Grids" is still one of the high points for me, and I wish they'd done more outside the box like that. All that said, what a stellar album and a great surprise to get a new album from these guys that holds up as well as this one seems to.
They announced more tour dates, but both Florida dates are still 7-8 hours from me though I love in Florida. Bummer.
Was going to buy advanced tickets today for the March 7th show in Chattanooga, but ticket fees were like $13 for two tickets. I'll just go by the venue on Friday when the box office is open and not have to do that.
i got that cover at an outdoor festival in florida during the summer once, was baffling to say the least
that was a really really good show last night. jim sounded absolutely incredible, better than on record honestly, and the band was so tight. we also got goodbye sky harbor instead of lucky denver mint, as well as the last christmas cover. just a super great show. also prawn are the best and if you are going to any of these shows and miss them i am blocking/reporting you
I bought a ticket to tomorrow night's show about a month ago and totally forgot I did it. It's a nice surprise for me though, now I'm super excited!
