So I have officially spun enough of Bleed American, Futures, and Integrity Blues to want more. I'd rate them Futures > Integrity Blues > Bleed American. Where should I go next? The harmonies in basically all of these songs are just too good, it's a bit ridiculous. Something about the way they incorporate them in the choruses just buries the melodies in your head for days on end. Great stuff all around.
"Chase This Light" if you're into the more polished, hooky stuff. If not, then I'd say "Clarity" next.
It was released digitally like a week ago. I believe it's itunes only though. It was released as part of the anti-Trump music campaign (Death Cab also released a song for it).
Yeah I got it from the YouTube video that was put up by that campaign's channel so it was high quality. Didn't know about the iTunes release though, gonna see if it's on the Australian store, cheers
Yeah I couldn't find it on iTunes, shame. The YouTube version is good enough quality for me though, the screaming in the chorus actually sounds awesome when it's all fuzzy and distorted. Speaking of which, am I the only one who geeked the fuck out when they first heard Jim screaming on that song? It's been like, what, fifteen years since he last did that on record? Not counting Nothingwrong
It's almost impossible for me to listen to "Pol Roger" without shedding at least one tear. It's beautiful and I'm so thankful for it.
I'd agree with that. In my opinion you've already heard their 3 best albums, but they're all pretty snazzy, Chase This Light is probably up your alley but Damage would be a nice change of pace.
In London. Going to see Russel Brand tonight. While at the store getting champagne/cider/wine, noticed the sign:
After much deliberation, Pol Roger may be the best song on this album. Through remains a jam, though.
90% sure the house where the girl is dancing is in the Turqoise Jeep short film. I care way too much about Turquoise Jeep. Except I guess this is what Flynt Flossy does for his regular career?
